Afghan Voices for Freedom and Human Rights Echo in Berlin

Today, on June 12, 2026, in Berlin, we gathered in front of the Embassy of Afghanistan alongside a group of Afghan women and men, including civil society activists, human rights defenders, women’s rights advocates, journalists, and members of the Afghan diaspora community.

The purpose of this protest was to amplify the voices of the people of Afghanistan, especially women and girls who continue to be deprived of their most basic human rights under Taliban rule, including the rights to education, work, freedom of expression, and social participation.

Through this demonstration, we once again expressed our solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and called on the international community not to remain silent in the face of widespread human rights violations, systematic discrimination against women, and the suppression of fundamental freedoms.

Afghanistan needs the voices of justice, freedom, and global solidarity. The struggle for human dignity and equal rights continues, and we will stand with our people until freedom is achieved.
